An Armenian bride traditionally wears a red silk wedding gown. She also wears a headpiece made of cardboard that is shaped into wings and covered with feathers. The bride and groom enter the reception under an arch formed by bridesmaids and grooms men. To symbolize their love and happiness, the couple releases a dove. It is also customary for guests to throw coins at the bride.
